Remake is needed, or at least short series

I think this movie should be remade. From what I heard, the movie in not faithful to the book, and the actors were miscast. With homosexuality and prostitution no longer a taboo; the book has a chance to be re-adapted again.

Carey Mulligan would make a good Holly

What was never shown only implied that she was a party girl, she loved exploiting other men, making men part with their money, and has no problem being in the company of absolute strangers. The way she walks in the apartment of a man who is getting ready to sleep and chats him up instead of letting him sleep. The film is about glamorising a prostitute and a gigolo.

The movie is great because of them taboos. They are still taboo in the majority of the world.

Actors were miscast? I cannot see anyone playing the two leads besides Hepburn and Peppard with justice.

One day in the year of the fox came a time remembered well...

I agree with above post. Not only are Hepburn and Peppard perfect in their roles...to remake this movie would be a very poor decision. This movie is perfection and I, personally, can see no one but Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly. It is one of my top ten favorite movies of all time and I have been an avid movie watcher since 1962.

reply

No. It would be shît.

reply

Why bother? The movie is superior to the book.
