The beach scene, with John Gavin in his bathing suit, fails to take proper advantage of his oh-so-pleasing physique. A little more "beefcake" would have been much appreciated.

I have always wondered why he wasn't a bigger star.

Gorgeous man and wooden actor; Gavin came along too late. He would have been perfect at MGM in the 1930's in Robert Taylor type roles.

I just watched this for the first time in 40 years. Gavin reminds me of Mitt Romney.
