Shadows of the People in the Garden/NIM
love the movie - big fan of robbe-grillet
i was trawling the net looking for a vintage movie poster of the classic image from marienbad - the couples stood in the grounds of the house with impossibly long shadows while the topiary doesnt cast any at all
: i read that the shadows were actually painted on the ground for the shot :
not sure if its been mentioned - but if you look at the shadows they resemble a game of the enigmatic NIM in progress : with like a
