IMDb says the aspect ratio of the film is 2.35:1, but my torrent of the film (from the bluray version) has an aspect ratio of 2.21:1. Is IMDb incorrect, or did the Criterion Collection release a DVD with an incorrect aspect ratio?

The second source that confirmed it was DVD Beaver and if you click this link the image captures reveal all and if you click on them, you'll get the images in full 1920 x 1080 resolution. Comparing them with Criterion DVD screen caps you'll see nothing's been lost and Criterion's DVD and BD releases are by far the most revealing.

Criterion don't always get it right but with their BD release of Marienbad they've trumped everything that's come before. In my opinion, this release is reason enough to invest in a Blu ray player.
