Does Anyone Ever Get Arrested?

I had never seen this show until it appeared on METV after Get Smart. The theme song suggests that NYC is amok with problems. But as far as I can tell, this is a cop show that doesn't have any actual crime.

Well, yeah, there were some mobsters arrested in a few episodes. Seems they're the main types arrested. I'm more amazed that the policemen have plenty of time on the job to pursue personal matters. Discipline seems pretty lax. And I can't see any of these cops handling themselves very well in a scuffle with tough guys.

It's a TV show. Would you prefer what's on TV today in which they have plenty of dysfunctional families, gay and lesbian family members, drugs, sex and alcohol problems. Shows that you can't watch with your family?

Don't forget they arrest Mr Izerman, the jaywalker! Doesn't he call them Gestapo or something like that and then runs across the street.
