It's been a while, but it was about the captain going on vacation and the guys in the precinct were starting rumors about the new captain. Everything from him being a spy to a former Nazi General. And they though the new captain fed one of the officers to his pet piranhas when they say him go in the captain's office, but never left.

That was, "The Beast Who Walked the Bronx". The Captain taking over while Capt Block is on vacation, is played by the great character actor Howard Freeman. Freeman played in some classic film noirs, such as "The Blue Dahlia". But here he's playing a real milquetoast, although the cops at the 53rd think that he's a real monster. Awesome episode! By the way, Freeman was in some other Car 54s, as well as a classic "Bilko" episode!
