How does the movie end?

I haven´t seen this in a long time.
I cant remember if the Main Character got stuck in the future time or did he happen to escape to another time (the correct time of his departure from early 1900s)?

In Philadelphia it's worth fifty bucks.

George (Rod Taylor) returns to the distant future, 800,000 years into the future, to live among the Eloi and be with Weena -- presumably returning to the same time he left them, just after the destruction of the Morlocks. Before he left his time for good, he grabbed three books to help show the Eloi how they could build their own culture, free of the Morlocks.

A lot of men married Elizabeth Taylor. I wonder what the record is in this country for the number of official marriages in one lifetime.
