Please let a tiger bite Francis' head off

That would be very satisfying.

OMG! I was rewatching this last night, and I could not believe that I had never noticed how utterly obnoxious that child was!!! When he started hanging from the rafters because they decided to stay on the island, I was thinking, "Sink him with the ship! Wrap him in the boa constricter! Blow him up with a coconut bomb! Send him off with the pirates! Just anything to get him out of this movie!"

I almost threw something at the TV, but then, I realized it wasn't the TV's fault...

They used to have annoying, pain-in-the-neck characters like that. Especially in the sixties. Gilligan's Island, Lost in Space, Land of the Giants. How about Jerry Lewis and all of his movies? I guess people used to like characters who screwed everything up. For some reason it was considered funny. Guess we've become more serious in the 21st century because all I want to do is shoot those morons in the head.

I watched Swiss Family Robinson today. In the first ten minutes I decided that Francis needed to be thrown over a cliff. What an idiot.

I happen to like Kevin Corcoran. Pollyanna, this movie and The Shaggy Dog.

I also loved this movie when i was about ten, but Francis was so irritating, I am donating this movie to the Goodwill.

I wouldn't mind having your movie. You all have to remember that Francis was only a child. Were you precious at his age? Or would your family say you were just like him? I bet the latter because trust me, ALL kids at that age are irritating. I know because when my daughter was 11, (she's was adopted at 12 by my late husband and me), she was a bit irritating.

true true , its a vhs if you were near it would be yours, I am downsizing in any event, do you remember a dick van dyke movie where he was stranded on an island and found a wwii sub he salvaged things from?

reply

Francis is beyond irritating. And it seems like neither one of his parents are willing to give him any edcation or discipline, they just let him do whatever he wants to.

reply

yes, he is irritating but, I find him much less so than kids in recent movies and TV shows. Kids in new movies always have adult dialog and smart mouths and talk back at adults. Some movies (like a Christmas Story) portray kids as kids but, for the most part, they act like smart mouthed adults. That, to me anyway, is much more irritating.
