I stopped caring about Rocco when...

He told Nadia to go back to Simone.
People usually tell women to leave a man who isn't good for them. But Rocco only cared about his brother, to the point where he sacrifices the woman he supposedly loves. 🤮
But oh yes, "he's a saint". No, he was just another a$$hole.

And after he RAPED her. But That's female characters in old cinema for ya.

This is fiction fyi and Rocco was clearly being portrayed as wrong here with Nadia as the victim.

My thoughts exactly. I was enjoying the movie very much up to that point. i came here immediately after watching the movie looking for this post xD

I cared about him even less when he told Ciro he "doesn't trust in the justice of men" after Simone told him he killed Nadia and STILL wanted to help him.

And yeah, I know his motivation, i just think its insanely stupid.

Idk if I agree with his brother dubbing him a Saint tbh. And I do believe in forgiveness but I believe in justice too. Nadia did not deserve her fate. Rocco was unbearably attached to his own brother only, to the detriment of everyone else. If he had intervened at that moment, stood up to his brother and defended Nadia, he actually could've saved them both. Nadia from despair and death, and his brother ending up a murderer. He would've also saved his mother from having a murderer for a son. I thought that at least in the end, when he found out that Nadia was murdered, he would finally stand up to his brother but he didn't. He would've made a bad father and husband imo, if his brother had killed his wife and children, I wonder if he would've just stood by helpless as always.
