the photographer and Pulp Fiction

I have not read all comments, but has anyone mentioned the important contribution this film made to pop culture in giving us the generic term for celebrity photographer (beginning with 'p' and ending in 'o'?) It is the same as the actual name of Marcello's photographer in the film, which means 'annoying insect' in Italian. Also, Quentin Tarantino borrowed a scene from 'Vita' for use in Pulp Fiction. It's the "Don't die on me, Mia" scene with Travolta and Thurman.

I knew about the papparazi thing but what scene in La Dolce Vita are you referring to that's similar to the Pulp Fiction scene? And how so? I knew Tarantino took a brief clip from 8 1/2 as inspiration for another scene in Pulp Fiction.
