As the article rightly points out, The Great Beauty (2013) was already a spiritual sequel to La Dolce Vita. What new things could an official remake bring to the table?

CGI explosions? (I wish there weren't people who might actually want that.)

Seriously, why don't they make new versions of the Sistine Chapel or Beethoven's Ninth while they're at it?
