Who played the telegram delivery guy?
He was an integral part of setting the mood for the events yet to happen, yet no banana.

I'd like to know too, maloneyonweb. It was cool how he seemingly appeared outta nowhere. Creepy scene, and he had a creepy look to him. I'm interested to find out what his name is/who he is...
Da Bears
Margaret Hamilton, who also played the housekeeper. Her most famous role was as the wicked witch of the west in The Wizard Of Oz.
shareHOORAY!!!
The updated 'cast' listing names David Hoffman as "The Messenger"! Ask, and ye shall receive! Unfortuantely, his bio is a titch slim... however, now we know!
The Messenger segment was the creepiest part of the film, in my opinion. I wonder: Did David Hoffman really look like that, or did they use a lot of makeup?
shareOh I agree! He really gave me a start - and that was the only time in the entire movie. Still, it was fun for nostalgia's sake - silly but fun.
Why wish for the moon when we can have the stars?
You got that right! It's been a year since I've seen this film, but that guy still gives me the creeps. The rest of this movie is better for laughs than for chills, though -- not that there's anything wrong with that.
shareI think that guy looked a lot like "Scary German Guy" from The Monster Squad.
(Grissom): -Are you a terrorist?
(suspect): -Depends, are you terrified?
He (David Hoffman) was the spooky talking head in the crystal ball at the beginning of the "Inner Sanctum" movie series of the '40s. I think there were five in all, but possibly more.
shareThat was good casting. That guy scared the *beep* out of me when he appeared out of nowhere.
