Stole the stories from the Honeymooners
The creator of the show was smart to wait until Jackie Gleason was dead in 1993 to admit he stole the story lines from The Honeymooners.

share1. I think you got the history of this show incorrectly. The history of it following the Honey mooners lead has a very highly remembered trivia story involving Mr. Gleeson.
2. I challenge if you think making something similar to what has come before is tantamount to plagiarism I think you might need to learn some more history.
There are some times when a party with specific evidence may try a lawsuit, but this requires actual evidence the work required their work to exist and they deserve credit. Most of these cases are settled out of court with money anyway and the project goes on. The big elephant in the room is if you rule what this example is illegal, you just made most of the world's myths, fairy tales, books, movies, video games, plays, etc illegal by proxy. Because everything borrowed something.
Sometimes I wonder how nice it be if every artist had to take the time to credit every influence they had. As perhaps then some people on the internet would actually learn just how connected everything is. I suppose this could be feasible to some extent, although it mean longer credits and afterwards.
"The Mailman Cometh"(Season 2,March 23,1962) did share the nasty letter to the boss/finding the topic of anger was a mistake/then retrieving the missive outta the mailbox plot with not ONLY "Honeymooners" BUT "Dennis the Menace,"TOO! Odd thing is the Flintstones shared the same writers as the Honeymooners, Al Dinehart who also regularly directed recording at Hanna-Barbera and was a casting agent, and Herb Finn, as a team, only the writer of the Flintstones "Mailman Cometh" was Arthur Phillips (I don't know who the writer of the "Dennis the Menacer" variaiton, called "A Letter to the Boss", was). Very gooid episode.
Amanda Bynes is hot and Lindsay Lohan is not.
