Fred's temper

How many times did Fred punch Barney?

I remember where the "only caterer in town" made a joke and Fred pounded in Barney's head for laughing at it.

What other times did Fred slug his pal?

Marriage is between one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others.

I don't think he punched him a lot, but he sure did get mad at Barney a lot and maybe even for no good reason

In the episode "Royal Rubble" when Fred goes to order bronto burgers for the gang (6 in total), Barney quips:

"Gee, Fred. What about the rest of us?" (implying Fred was going to eat the 6 for himself).

Of course, Barney laughs. Fred sarcastically laughs, and bops Barney on the top of the head.

Very bad influence on kids. Fred needed anger management courses. Barney was very co-dependant. Wilma was constantly being yelled at and was degraded. Betty was your average nosey woman, always butying in and giving stinky advice. In all, this cartoon set a generation of kids into adulthood crippled.

It might be a good idea but did anger management courses or classes existed in the 1960's?

Am I the only one who thinks sometimes his anger was justified? Not all the time, but they were pretty mean to him at times, too?

reply

I watched this as a kid. As an adult, I don't hit people, co-depend, yell, degrade, or give stinky advice. Even at the age of six, I knew it was just a cartoon, not a teachable moment.
