There are so many movies that shouldn't have been remaded.But this one should be.The scripted called for Belafonte's character and Steven's were to kiss.
But hollywood bigwigs dramaticly changed the movie. The movie was a flop that year. REMAKE THIS NOW!

I think it could be remade and could be used to send a powerful message. Having it set in modern times would mean the white guy could seen to be a normal guy but then exposed as the racist he has always been. If you had good actors it could be awesome.
