Wrong to Categorize This Film As Scifi!!!

I'm surprised this film is categorized as scifi so often? Because its setting is post-apocalyptic? Since I first saw this film over 35yrs ago I never once imagined it scifi. I see this as a fine drama or three people alone together... it could have taken place on stranded bus, and ocean liner or a stuck elevator.

But, it doesn't take place in those places. It follows the destruction of humanity through the release of a radioactive isotope (as I recall). That makes it science fiction. Post-apocalyptic tales fall into the sci fi category.

This is as sci fi as "Five" or any other post-destruction film.

Of course, with the addition of "zomboid" plagues/invasions (NOT true zombies), a horror element has been added. But those still rate as SF.
