I saw this film on an online TV channel (AFTV Sci-Fi / Horror) the other day and I saw up to the bit where Derek (such a cool name for a hero :D ) kills the lobster, but about three seconds after that my ISP decided to do some planned maintenance and hoofed my connection off for a bit. Can someone please tell me what happened at the end because, as bad as the movie was, I actually got intrigued.

Derek goes back to the saucer, and pretends that he has changed his mind about not invading earth. Since his father shows up and reveals to Derek that he is his son, Derek is allowed to guide the spaceships in. Instead he crashes them all into the saucer and all the aliens die, including Derek.
