There's the "World The Flesh and the Devil" (1959) which was similar to "Five".
There was the ultra depressing movie "Testament".
"A Boy and His Dog" which is strange, but certainly post apocalyptic.
"The Book of Eli".
"Panic in the Year Zero" and "This is not A Test" from the early sixties if no one has listed them yet.
The original "Red Dawn" (1984) about a Soviet invasion after Washington DC and other command and control centers have been nuked off camera.
"Damnation Alley" which addresses such post nuclear threats as man eating giant cockroaches.
"Captive Women" from the early fifties about tribes fighting it out in the ruins of New York City a thousand years after a nuclear war. It was original untitled "Three Thousand AD" but after Howard Hughes bought the US rights to the British film it got its more suggestive title.
"Teenage Caveman" about survival generations after the nukes had been used.
The first movie to attempt to depict the after effects of a nuclear weapons was "Rocket Ship XM" of course in that case the war had taken place on the planet Mars.
If you into things that are really strange or happen to be a unreconstructed Rowdy Rodney Piper fan there is "Hell Comes to Frog Town" with the eighties pro wrestler as one of the few fertile men alive after the bomb drops. It is definitely not a movie to be taken seriously but those mutant frogs are a real hoot.
TAG LINE: True genius is a beautiful thing, but ignorance is ugly to the bone.
