When I was like 5 years old, I remember seeing this movie and could not get over seeing Pat Boone in his cutoff pants and little else. Years later, as a gay man going to Fire Island, I saw many guys imitating Pat's look, complete with boots.

I couldn't help wonder if the wardrobe person for this movie was gay, and that's why Pat (who's really religious) ended up looking like a Tab Hunter's HOT boyfriend!

Interesting. When I saw this movie tonight I thought both Alec and Hans looked pretty gay with their shirts off. I blamed it on they way people used to wear their pants back in the days. Or maybe I'm unconsciously influenced by the media. Anyway, funny to read that I wasn't the only one thinking this. They still were pretty hot though.

so hot guys are only for gay men now? ;) I'm a woman, and I was thrilled to watch both of them....especially during the many shirtless scenes!
