Too talky and slow moving.
The Duck was the real star.

I'm comparing it to earlier Verne adaptations, which were way more interesting

Its a fantastic film although I was upset when the duck died.

Actually getting to the expedition is pretty boring -- after that, it's fine.

The English Patient was boring, this was not. This is an excellent classic.

A great movie though. They don't make them like this anymore. It took them a full hour to get to the cave and start descending, an hour to get to know the characters up front. A modern take would have them miles under the Earth in the first 15 minutes.

No sure how the guys didn't have ZZ Top style beards by the time they got out though.
