I loved this movie as a child even though it was very old even then. I especially loved when they found all the jewels in the cave. The part where Gertrude the duck was implied killed and eaten broke my heart. I couldn't stop crying, now as an adult I can barely stand to watch it and Hans' heartbreak at the loss of his pet.

shareMe, too! They almost never kill off an animal in these films but they did with poor Gertrude. Maybe the films only mistake.
