Just watched that ep and was wondering... was it ever revealed anywhere just which actor portrayed the title character? The actor's name is not listed on the ep credits.
Did some Googleing but could not find anything on this.
I'm thinking it was a famous actor of the period doing an anonymous cameo...as has been done before.
I wish they had gotten Boris Karloff or Vincent Price to provide the voice of "the Partner". Neither would have had to show up on the Desilu set. They could have just recorded their lines and then had them edited into the soundtrack of the episode at a later date.

I saw this episode recently on ME-TV. To my mind, the partially obscured face of "The Partner" bears a strong resemblance to Alabama-born character actor, Oliver McGowan. The voice does as well.
