little Egypt ep. radio station call letters are wrong

I was watching this ep tonight, 9-25-2013 some guy on the radio was campaigning about the violence and I saw the call letters of the radio station. They had it wrong. They had the first letter on it as a K. Should have been a W. Anything east of the mississippi always began as a W. Unless of course back in the 30's it was different so not for sure. But if it was wrong should have been a W.

My city didn't get me tv til may 2013

Radio station KDKA 1020 AM is in Pittsburgh and I think it has been around quite a few years, so maybe there are some stations east of the Mississippi that begin with a K, although most of them do start with a W.

I am glad you are now receiving MeTV in your city. I watch it as much as any other station, except maybe ESPN.

the untouchables is set in chicago that's why when I saw the ep they had to be wrong with the station letters. I didn't know there was a station east of the mississippi river even had the first letter K on any stations.

"Little Egypt" was based in part on the Burger/Shelton gang war of the late 20s in Williamson County, Illinois near Carbondale. That part of Illinois does pick up stations from Missouri, so it's possible. (I realize I'm seriously nitpicking here.)

KDKA in Pittsburgh was the first station.. started broadcasting in 1920... I think it was Election Night returns.. there is also another Pittsburgh Station.. KQV... but you are right.. stations to the East of the Mississippi start with a "W"... stations to the West of the Mississippi start with a "K".. I think the two Pittsburgh Stations are the only exception.. probably because they were first and before the ruling...
