My first time seeing Odyssey of Flight 33, and that’s my fav so far.

Odyssey of Flight 33 is a great episode. I love the ending. It's so haunting and sad.

The episode that is in my top five favorites is The Hitchhiker. I saw this when I was a child and I was terrified of hitchhikers. Even after I grew up, I was afraid to look in the rear view mirror when I was driving at night!

Ah yes it's playing Tuesday at 11:30am for me..I am Dvr-ing the episodes but only keeping 21 at a time. I am going to make it so that episode doesn't get deleted on my DVR ever. Love when the song comes on.."Livin Man".

Ah, "Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge". The only "fake" TZ.

I have mixed feeling about this, as I first saw it In English class before I ever knew it was also in TZ.

Shannon! That one is a great one. I do agree it’s a “fake” TZ episode, however, it goes very well with the entire series.

I T.A. for a Film Class, that one we screened for the class. I also recently screened “Eye of the Beholder” and “Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?”. Had a blast doing that and will do that again.

This is tough, if I had to choose up until this point of the marathon, my favorite is “People Are Alike Allover.”

No way!! That’s awesome, Shannon! Really, no short films? Are there any films that have a TZ vibe that you screened? We are currently ina Sci-Fi mood lately, but we might go back to Film-Noir for the next Fall Semester.

No, no short films except the first silent film "Great Train Robbery". It was a History of Film class, so less specialized. A Noir or Screwball semester would both be fun to teach.

Yes, I saw it in English class too! I always thought it was creepy that no one knew when the author, Ambrose Beirce, actually died. He just sort of disappeared. Someone postulated that maybe he found a time machine and is still around. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ambrose_Bierce

According to the most reliable filthy rumor Bierce was last seen in disguise about 30 years ago. Witnesses said he looked very much like an aging Gregory Peck, in Old Town Tijuana drinking cheap tequila in company of a schoolmarm who (according to same filthy rumor) might well have passed for Jane Fonda's twin sister.

I'm watching the "Private World of Darkness" or "Eye of the Beholder" or (my private name) "The Attack of the Pig People." It's not my favorite, but I do think it is the most iconic TZ episode.

Oh, definitely, I agree with you Shannon! I screened that for the Film Class and it got a huge reaction. People loved that one! However, I had the students dissect the scene where Dr. Bernardi is speaking with one of the nurses about Ms. Tyler‘s “condition.” I had them focus on “blocking in the scene, mise-en-scene” and also the overall narrative and commentary of the episode. Great episode, definitely in my top 10 favorites!

Good morning, sad to see the marathon end.

That would be a great one to study, as the blocking/framing/setup is so crucial to a successful reveal. Sounds like you teach a fun and still educational class.
