episodes suitable to watch at summertime?

thank you my fellow twilight zone residents for all the helpful suggestions, i've actually had use of every reply, i had missed much of them i see, i haven't gone through every episode mentioned here yet, but i would really advice everybody to check out "the midnight sun" during these hot summer days, either on tv or "the twilight zone radio dramas", the radio adaptation of "the midnight sun" actually has a couple of roles included that were suppose to be on the tv episode in the 1959 series but cut because of budget. i wonder if the end of "the midnight sun" is kind of a "a stop at willoughby" case, where many viewers seem to think the episode would have worked just as good without that last twist at the end, as in the midnight sun, where she is, on the contrary to the rest of the episode, in freezing cold, just as garth is laying in the snow, but where i figure he's gone on spiritually into willoughby anyway but his actual body had to end up somewhere, well one thing is for sure, the great closing narration wouldn't have worked as proper would it without the last twist in midnight sun (assuming the tv narration is the same as on radio). have a great continued summer everybody, hopefully cooler than "the midnight sun" scenario.😲

"the last rites of jeff myrtlebank" i just realised to add to this list, and i agree with what's been discussed on this board earlier, i also find that episode rather dark, as the flowers he touches dies, and then there is the mentioning he might be a vampire, and somehow the fact that it takes place in the country in the 1920's adds to the atmosphere... you know what, perhaps this goes under halloween watching 👿 i'm referring here to the radio version of the episode on "the twilight zone radio dramas", much of that seemed more like mockery than comedy, so i think i might just like the tv version of this episode better, but i can't remember it. it really does remind of great anthony in "it's a good life", even the same setting, by the way, that episode is hilarious on the radio adaptation. - "where have you been, pal?... never mind don't tell me". - the bard, twilight zone.

Surprisingly it was written by Earl Hammer, Jr. who wrote some really good episodes and created The Waltons. The Hunt is one of my favorite episodes. The only other episode he wrote that I didn’t like is Black Leather Jackets which is probably the only episode I dislike more than the Bewitchin Pool.

this is all good stuff, i love the narration to that episode ("third from the sun"), possibly one of the greatest episode opening narrations, and i had that in mind as well if i didn't mix it up with "monsters are due on maple street" which happened to be your other summer vibe episode, i listened to both after the suggestion on the twilight zone radio dramas, i'm more common with the extended narration performed by stacy keach. i suppose i could add another episode to this list, "on thursday we leave for home", it may be on another planet (as "the lonely") but they sure got it hot there... and have to live in caves if i recall correctly, in case i'm off at any description it's because i'm most always referring to the radio versions instead of tv, that's not to say one is superior over the other, but radio is always more convenient to listen to, and often those adaptations run longer with added roles and dialogue, sometimes to help the story adapt and sometime cause the tv version had things cut cause of budget reason, for example, "the invaders" and "an occurrence at owl creek bridge" has added roles, on tv these episodes solely rely on pictures. many of the episodes mentioned here are in the same cd box of one of the earlier twilight zone radio dramas releases (the bigger cd boxes from around 2005 rather than the 2013 blackstone boxes).
