Why doesn't The Chancellor beat up Wordsworth and take the key?
Or, does he assume Wordsworth has thrown away the key?
shareOr, does he assume Wordsworth has thrown away the key?
shareVery good question I have never seen anyone ask before.. I guess he was panicky and not thinking clearly at that time
sharePerhaps because Wordsworth had already clearly indicated that regardless of whatever actions the Chancellor took, Wordsworth himself would stand unafraid. The whole thing in essence amounted to a psychological chess game, or if you like a game of "Chicken."
shareOr perhaps the Chancellor, like many bullies, wasn't as tough as he made himself out to be.
shareThe cameras were rolling, so he couldn't really get away with anything. If nothing else it would look unbecoming of an official.
