"From Agnes - with Love" is, in my opinion, among the worst episodes of the series. I do want to commend the acting of Wally Cox, however. Especially given the poor material, I think he did quite a good job.
What are some other examples of this happening in the series?
I have to agree there. Wally Cox was great, but generally the episode was...avoidable.
There aren't too many that stick out because of a reeking stink, actually. I know folks complain about Cavender, but "The Mighty Casey" is far worse I'd say.
"The Bard" and "I Dream of Genie" are "TZ"'s worst because their already-threadbare stories are stretched out to an hour rendering them unwatchable. Imagine "The Mighty Casey" or "Cavendar" at an hour ... or, better yet, don't.
I will say this about "Casey" though: I love Serling's opening narration for it.
Just thought of another one: "The Brain Center at Whipples". Not as bad as "Agnes", but still on the 'bad' spectrum. Richard Deacon did a great job as Whipple, though. I always liked him on The Dick Van Dyke Show and I think he's underrated.
