Best episode of Season Four?
A tie between "Miniature" and "The Parallel."
shareThe New Exhibit.
shareThe first episode "In His Image" was the best. A good mystery that built nicely. Wonderfully acted. And a story that really needed an hour to do it justice.
shareA lot of the shows are stretched for time. But there are a few good episodes.
The Parallel
On Thursday We Leave for Home
In His Image
The New Exhibit
Valley of the Shadow
Miniature
Death Ship
But there were also some stinkers. Horace Ford, Lady Anne, Mute, Genie, in No Time Like the Past there are
2 completely different episodes sewn together to make 1.
was this the season with the hour-long episodes ?
if so.. i did quite like "Valley of the Shadow" cause everything returns to normal @ the end.
the BEST episode may be "Of Late I Think of Cliffordville" though. it's intense
That whole season is my favorite.
shareI cannot bear this wretched season - the change in title, Serling's voice-only intros, and way too many padded clunkers.
"On Thursday We Leave For Home", and, especially, "The Parallel" are noted exceptions.
Something like "The Valley of the Shadow" would've played so much better at 25 minutes, rather than 50.
Sure there are EPs before and after this season that are bad, but one doesn't have to sit for an hour of padded dialogue.
Extending the series to an hour was a huge mistake, and Serling hated it.

Printer's Devil is one of the best of any season.
Mostly a tie between As Late I Think of Cliffordville and Printer's Devil.
