How do you feel about the new message boards?

I still can't believe the IMDb boards are gone! Its as if, I own a home, and then one day I come back to where my house used to be, and it is gone, sigh! This MovieChat is trying to be like the old IMDb boards, but it is still fairly different (I still can't believe I could log on with my old IMDb username and password, how'd they manage that?). And all the other substitutes are different in their own ways. I don't know if this will work, because a community is not something you can just pick up and plop down somewhere else. Its a delicate thing. What holds a community together is not something that is understood very well, I think. Its very iffy that all things come together to make a community. Not something you can force people to do. Its kind of a mysterious process. You could say the same things about making a good movie. A bunch of things have to come together to make it 'work', and probably a lot of luck is involved. Oh well...
