Odin has sent us a sign! (spoilers!)

The slave whose hawk tore out my eye--
Who escaped my wrath and my father's death trap--
Who stole my English wench just when I was making headway--
Who stole our boat and escaped with her--
Who used witchcraft to navigate the fog--
Who captured my father and bound him--
Who gave my father to the English king to be killed--
Whose untrustworthiness made even the English cut off his hand--
And who has been prancing around Scandinavia in hot pants for some reason--
THAT GUY HAS RETURNED--

And he needs our help attacking the strongest castle in England and getting the wench back!

Who sails with me?!?!!

If he'd only listened to Bjorn. As you say - never trust an English dissident or a man in furry hot pants

Honestly. The sheepskin daisy-dukes were the worst costume ever. ...And he wore them for 70% of the movie. Came really close to ruining it for me everytime he came on-screen.

But otherwise, having just watched it, this was honestly a fantastic movie. I dont' know how I never heard of it until now!

...and I had no idea it was so old! I thought it was maybe ten years down the road from its actual production date.

The few scenes I did find cheesey are few and far between, and the overall product is better than any number of films I've seen in recent years.

Douglas and Borgnine are fantastic. They really shine here. I thought both to be unlikely vikings, but they convinced me! (honestly, I've never wanted to be a viking so much in my life.)

The chick sucks, a couple of the action scenes were a little silly, (but overall VERY good!) (for 1958? Yeah. And for 2006-soon to be 7). Also, the bad guy is a little swishy, but it's a great flick.
