Was the theme music for this specially written?

Because here in Massachusetts, there was a news show called "Dateline Boston" that used this music as its intro.
I would thing the Vikings score was copywrited, and couldn't be used.
Anyone know about this?

Sure it can be used if you get permission from the copyright owner. The copyright owner usually charges a fee for the use of the piece. That's the way they make money.
