This Classic would be a perfect candidate for 3D restoration!
Please don't give me the old "don't touch an old classic" bit. I love 3D and can't think of a better movie that could show it's advantages....thoughts?

shareWhats the point? It wouldn't add anything to it.
"Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
Well, Hitchcock already worked with 3D . . . and I enjoyed seeing Dial M for Murder in that format . . . but, I don't think it would add anything to Vertigo . . . might be interesting to watch . . .
shareOh wow, I didn't know Dial M was in 3D, that's rad. I can't think of many scenes in Vertigo that would translate well or add anything to the experience.
"Ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
I would think the stairway shots, the vertigo effect, the roof scene where the cop fell into the alley, the many SF scenes, etc. would lend well to a 3D adaptation.
shareTrue, but I don't think there's enough of that sort of thing to warrant a transference to 3D . . . there'd have to be more to justify such a thing . . . all right, maybe it wuld be interesting to watch . . .
shareYes those shots wOU look even more fake in 3D than they already do in 2D.Jesus christ!! Are you people drunk or high or both??
sharePlease tell me you're joking or drunk or both!!
The movie looks awful enough as it is with the horrible studio shots replacing scenes that could have been shot outside. Shot either in front of matte paintings or matte paintings pasted onto real outdoor shots or shot in front of a screen.
And you want that crap in 3D???
krycek19: You must be on drugs or under the age of 12. For it's time, it was brilliantly shot and edited. Studio shots and mattes were the mainstay of almost every great film back then. The had strict budgets back then making them necessary. What the hell are you talking about? A Hitchcock masterpiece of film making. You probably hated the masters such as Van Gogh and Monet as well, being unconventional. What a putz! .... and yes, it would be GREAT in 3D!
