About that Pillow...(Spoiler)

I love this movie, but at the end when Ginnie and Dave had gotten married, she says that she'd like to stop home and pick up the pillow to take on their honeymoon. But, at the end, they didn't go to her house, and, when she's shot, Dave pulls that same pillow under her head. Is it a duplicate souvenir pillow, or was it supposed to be the one she already had?

But they were on the appartment, just wasn't show. After they were going to the club, just as they planned.

They did go and get the pillow, because there's at least one scene that shows her holding the pillow while strolling around the fair and discussing whether or not to go to the bar, intercut with scenes of the guy with the gun running around looking for them.
