Who do you think won the fight?

McKay vs. Leech?

McKay gets my vote.

If at first you don't succeed, you're not Chuck Norris

reply

It was technically a draw since neither one claimed victory or "gave in", but since McKay more than held his own in this "draw" and his manhood had been questioned he came out the winner to most I would think.

reply

Hadn't thought of it that way! They do indeed stop the fight by mutual agreement.

But McKay did better I think. He got more punches in, and knocked Leech to the ground more than Leech did to him.

McKay had more to fight for. I like that he technically didn't "win" in the sense of a knockout because just because you're the strongest or better fighter doesn't always mean you're right. He made his point and I really wasn't keeping track of how many punches were thrown by each man or who hit the ground more, it seemed fairly even for those scoring at home.

reply

Well, fellas, I think the whole point is that "nobody" won the fight. McKay -- "Now tell me Leach, what did we prove ... Huh?"

reply

Well yeah there's that...but whadda 'bout that wicked right by McKay?! Sorry I got caught up in that fight won by nobody... (-:

Actually, we don't get to see the whole fight, so we don't know who got the most punches in. They edit the fight in a way that it's supposed to be longer than what we got to see in the movie.

I have to conclude McKay and Leech were pretty evenly matched.

Whatever you do, DO NOT read this sig--ACKKK!!! TOO LATE!!!

leech's intention was to stomp mckay into the ground, he failed.
mckay's intention was to show leech that he can't stomp him as easy as he thinks, he succeeded.

so while it was a tactical draw, i would call it a strategic victory for mckay.

I did not save the boy, God did. I only CARRIED him.

McKay proved to Leech he was savvy and tough enough to belong in the "big country." He wasn't the weak sissy Easterner Leech always deemed him to be, and began proving it to him in this fight. And he ultimately proved to Leech there was more to being a man than being able to punch and shoot.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Whoever lost the fight probably did so by wearing himself out with missed punches. Because of sloppy camera angles, punches that appeared to knock the other guy's head back clearly missed their mark, over and over again, passing an inch or more from each other's chin.

reply

He kicks enough ass to make Leech respect him.
