For once, Brando is not palying the heavy but rather a sweet naive fellow- although he does get his ritual beating towards the end of the film !
The film is long but you don't notice it and the acting is top notch all round
A real charmer - despite initial mumbling from Brando and a pat ending

Despite all the bashing some have given this movie, it's one of my absolute favorites. I LOVE it!!

My father was in the Navy and married out of his race,
so I very much love and appreciated a film like this...
