Why are there 2 different dvd covers for Criterion? thanks.
shareThe cover you see on the main Throne of Blood page here at Imdb.com was the original cover. The cover that you see if you visit the dvd's page at amazon is the cover that was released to the public. sometimes Criterion advertises an upcoming release with one cover but later, before the release, they change the cover art. For example at the criterion website, for the release of My Own Private Idaho, the cover was of River Phoenix walking on the side of the highway. If you check it out now, the cover shows Phoenix and Keanu Reeves on what appears to be a motorcycle.
