could 'Throne of Blood' be considered a horror film?

Yeah it seems like a horror film to me as well but more of Gothic like Jane Eyre or The Mysteries of Udolfo.

And it would make some sense in that 'MacBeth' is said to be the one play by The Bard which could be considered a horror story.
