First off, of those of you who thought it cute to list some twenty-odd movies of his that you've seen and then put down the list of those you haven't seen yet, none of you included all of his movies. A quick look at the IMDb Kurosawa page, and this can be corroborated elsewhere, will show that he has directed 32 films, albeit his first ('Uma') is uncredited. Someone about two or three spots above me got close with 30. Those of you who only got to twenty really ought to take a quick look at his page on this website.
Secondly, there seems to be a great deal of difference between those of you who are ranking movies by favorite, and those ranking by their evaluation of each film in relation to a more objective ideal. Those who put what are probably his best movies at the bottom of the list because you only saw it once and you weren't in a good mood that day and you were worried about your dog and you formed your opinion from that viewing, you are pathetic. I can't help but think that many of you wrote your lists in some less-exaggerated form of this example. I feel confident that with a little more thought and a little less uneducated personal feeling these lists would all bear a great deal more resemblance to eachother.

No offense, but I find it even more pathetic that you cannot accept the fact that many people do not share your opinion. I personally find it a bit ridiculous to suggest that there is anything 'objective' about any greatest film lists. They are all subject to personal bias as far as I am concerned, regardless of how 'objective' they try to be.
"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM???!!!!!"
