When I saw JR in the theater and on television, he receives three lashes. Turner Classic Movies showed the whole scene once in a special. Elvis gets about 12 lashes, is untied, rubs his wrists and lunges toward the warden. The guards restrain him and the scene ends.
Anyone know which version is on the DVD?
the five lash version. they should restore the complete scene for this years 50th anniversary dvd.
shareWith the release of the special edition dvd back in August, I doubt there will even be a 50th anniversity editon, and plus I doubt it will even see the light of day.
sharespeaking of the dvd making it's way back for it's 50th anniversary,does anyone know where i can get it in colur? When I first saw the film it was in colur I would like to have a copy of that version.
