I know originally this was suppose to be a sequel to The Incredible Shrinking Man, only this time his wife starts to shrink now and that she wants to join her husband. But that's all I know...

I don't know about it, try searching IMDB for the info. There was a movie called "Incredible Shrinking WOMAN" I never saw it BUT from what I heard it was a waste of time, it was basically identical to this movie only they used a woman in the lead instead of a man.

The Fantastic Shrinking Girl was supposed to have been made in 1978, but it never got off the ground. however, "The Incredible Shrinking Woman" came out in 1981, and it was pretty much as you described.

shareThere is, it's within a book by Richard Matheson called Unrealized Dreams. Basically the book holds three screenplays/stories that Matheson meant to publish but were either rejected or forgotten, one of those three is the original screenplay to The Fantastic Shrinking Girl.
Just a couple of weeks ago, I looked around borders and no luck on the book, they want it for $50.00 on amazon, ebay, etc. Even if it is used!!!
