I was channel surfing and noticed this film was starting so I watched it.
I had fully expected some 1950s piece of science fiction hokum but, instead, was very surprised about how good it actually was.

I was also pleasantly suprised by how good this film was. After I had seen it, I was hoping to come on IMDB and find it on the Top 250. It certainly deserves a place on there, in my veiw.
The film is exceptionally thoughtful and perfectly crafted. The horror aspect is still nicely creepy, thanks to the concepts rather than the special effects...and my fear of spiders made some sequences of the film absolutely bloody terrifying ! The film is great, very ahead of its time in a lot of respects.
