TCM Friday Night Frights...MORE!!

I'm sitting here on Friday evening, January 04, 2013, watching the end credits for Creature from the Black Lagoon, Tarantula, The Incredible Shrinking Man, and It Came From Outer Space, thinking, criminy, I'd sure like to sit here every Friday evening and watch 4 hours of classic science fiction flicks.

Let's let TCM know this. Friday evening is a total poop basket TV-wise anyway, why not give a few million Americans a reason to tune in to a true nostalgiagasm? Spread the word, put your theremins away and descend on TCM like a swarm of flying monkeys!

I agree! I've been watching from the first sci-fi (Creature From the Black Lagoon) till now. There are so many old sci-fi classics from this era that NEVER get shown anymore- even in the age of 200+ TV channels! Admittedly most aren't as great as these tonight but why not shown them? Set aside one weekend a month TCM for 50's sci-fi classics!

YOU, my dear, have totally hit on a great idea.

I've been looking for that to happen!

Add to the list:

Invaders from Mars
This Island Earth
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Day of the Triffids
The Blob

and that's just off the pre-a.m. coffee top of my flat head

Yes! These are all movies that many baby boomers rarely see anymore. In fact, I've had to order most from Amazon (or elsewhere) in order to see them. The old Hammer films, or the many you list. We could go on and on and I'm sure TCM has many in their vault. Let's write or e-mail them!
