Saturdy Afternoon at the Movies!

I spent many a Saturday of my youth at the movies back in the late 50's and early 60's: Two movies (usually horror films, sometimes comedies or westerns), 5 cartoons and a "selected short subject" (often a Three Stooges short from the 30's or 40's).

I saw this film at one of those Saturday matinees, and even though I was about 10, I remember thinking "What the...?" C-h-e-e-s-y.

But, you know, when you're sitting there with a bunch of friends from the neighborhood, eating popcorn, tossing candy wrappers at your buddies, and trying to catch the attention of a girl you had a crush on...well, it's kinda hard to hate these films. The entertainment on the screen wasn't always the main attraction (although, occasionally there were some real gems that actually scared the crap out of us.)

Watching this now, in the comfort of my living room, and with a lifetime of experiences between then and now, is pretty painful, I'll admit.
