Jack Klugman and the knife wound

Jack Klugman--Juror #5, I think--disagrees with the consensus about the use of the knife, that a "gangster" such as the defendant is supposed to have been, stabbed the victim downward; he says that in a knife fight, using a knife such as the one shown as the murder weapon, an assailant would have thrust it in upwards. Did anyone ever say what the medical records had established as the angle of the fatal knife wound?

I don't think they mention medical records - but they wouldn't need an autopsy for that as the knife was still in the victim and a preliminary inspection (crime scene photos) would indicate the angle of the stab (in certain cases such as single stab with the knife left in). If the autoply contradicted this it would be a point.
