"Texas Rangers Frontier Bn Company A"


Wondered about the significance of the logo on the very cool flag in the opening credits. At first glance, I thought it read "Frontier Bn Company" and wondered what the heck that was. Then I caught the "A" after "Company" and figured out it read "Frontier Battalion Company A". Looking it up on Google, I found some interesting historical background that provides some context for the show:

Thanks; one of the things I liked about this series is that, like Death Valley Days, it was based on true stories. That was sort of unusual for 1950s TV westerns, where even the episodes of Bat Masterson were highly fictionalized.
