Nancy Asch

Was watching (on METV) the second season episode "Back to Crawford", which has Robert Culp's character returning to his home town of Crawford (the setting of the pilot episode "Badge of Honor" that originally appeared on "Zane Grey Theater") to help his sister Norah (played by Peggy Webber ("The Screaming Skull"), reprising her role from the pilot). Was moved to look up the unfamiliar but rather interesting-seeming actress Nancy Asch, who figured prominently in the episode as Hoby's childhood friend who had taken a rather dark turn. Turns out she was the (second) wife of Robert Culp at the time and (eventually) the mother of his four children (Joseph, Joshua, Jason, and Rachel). She only has three acting credits on IMDb, but I thought that she gave a rather interesting and impressive performance in the episode, which, by the way, also featured a small guest turn by Warren Oates. Interesting.

I used to have an I Spy book which had a picture of Culp with his wife Nancy, but it didn't mention her last name. I actually thought that his wife was the lady from The Beverly Hillbillies with her last name slightly altered!

You mean she looked like Nancy KULP too? (gulp)

What man first walked on the moon?
Neil Armstrong first walked on the Earth.

reply

No, she definitely did NOT. Nothing against Nancy Kulp, but Nancy Asch was VERY striking in the Trackdown episode.
