Why is Julia searching in Mona's bureau drawer in bedroom for a lost glove?
This scene has nothing to do with the plot of The Case of the Larcenous Lady.
Any thoughts on this from readers?
She is looking for the picture of herself and a witness in Reno that Mona was blackmailing her with.
Sounds very probable. I'd not thought about it that way. Looking for the picture and pretending to others that she was looking for a lost glove.
