I'm loving watching this and to see the two super lawyers teaming up for Burger's friend. Maybe not teaming up defending but but being on the same side for once.
shareWhen I was a child, I never could understand why Mason and Burger were on opposite sides in court and then they would end up in the restaurant and be very gracious and cordial to each other.

shareHam was a dedicated public servant who stated in more than a couple of episodes that he'd rather lose a case than jail an innocent person. On the other hand, I don't see him help acquit a defendant he strongly suspects is guilty. Against his grain to help free someone who may commit more crimes against society.
shareI liked him bc he was about justice, whether that meant losing a case or not. Plus I get hungry when I say his name. But I agree with you, and I think he fights Perry so hard sometimes not bc of ego but because he thinks he is right and the defendant is guilty.
shareBy definition, the prosecutor has to take an aggressive stand. He is not a neutral observer.
When Burger sees the testimony and evidence swinging in (what is for him) the wrong direction, he almost always goes with trying to determine the truth, rather than mindlessly pressing for a conviction.
