A good score makes a difference

Watched third-season opener "Spurious Sister" again. I was impressed with how good the music was in establishing mood, especially during the murderer's confession and during the defendant's first meeting with Tragg. Would someone else like to comment on episodes that were particularly helped (or hurt) by their music?

A good score does help, but I don't think there were many original ones.

Most of the scoring was assembled from the CBS music library. Herrmann wrote a lot of cues just right for suspense/mystery programs, and they are almost always immediately recognizable.
