Background Music

Has anyone noticed that several episodes of the show share snippets of incidental background music, some shorter and some longer, also used on episodes of Tbe Twilight Zone?

I'm watching "The Case of the Melancholy Marksman" tonight, and several scenes in the show have identical music I've heard, first on Mr. Serling's show.

CBS evidently reused music that fit two or more shows often in the late 50's and early 60's--perhaps as a cost-cutting measure. Particularly if the great Bernard Herrmann was the composer; at least I think it's Herrmann's work here.

I think I noticed this CBS multiple use of scores several years ago while watching a Have Gun Will Travel and noticed that it, too, used music I'd first heard on The Twilight Zone.

I addressed this either here and/or another group.

CBS had a huge music library, to which Bernard Herrmann added many cues. These show up in unexpected places.
